It does a great job of blending elements of ‘man vs. nature’, ‘man vs. animal’, and most importantly ‘man vs. man’, which is an element missing from our survival films. I was totally confused by the lack of any linear storytelling, and it was very difficult to tell from one minute to the next exactly what part of the movie was taking place.
