Web5 Nov 2008 · 5. Oct 11, 2008. #1. These are a few photographs I took of the Wye valley railway, which opened in 1876 and closed to passenger traffic in 1959. Goods services used the line until 1964, and a few trains ran up to the quarry at Tidenham until 1981. There is not all that much left, although the main points of interest - the tunnels - are still there.
