WebIf you use obs studio and enable b-frames, there is significant extra work on the shaders. I don't know if the shaders do absolutely everything but it's not just nvenc doing it. Same goes for psycho visual tuning and the "max quality" option. Note that this is all their h264 encoder in obs though so I can only assume it's similar for hevc
